Tampa Jam Game Rules

 

  • Saturday games are two 25 minute run time halves
  • Sunday games are two 30 minute run time halves with the last 2 minutes of the game stop time
  • Half Time is 5 minutes
  • 2 Time Outs per half per team
  • Tie games will be played in two 4 minute run time halves (Sudden Overtime).  If still tied it will end a tie, except consolation and championship games which will be played until a team scores.
  • In the event of a tie for the final seedings, the following rules will apply:
    1. head to head competition results, including top seeded teams head to head result 
    2. record vs. common opponents
    3. +/- on game scores for all games played
    4. Coin toss (furthest team traveled gets the call)
  • Game clock will begin at scheduled game time regardless of teams being ready to play.  The latest team will be penalized with a 1 minute non-releasable penalty with no face off to start the game.
  • Teams are allowed to play with less than 10 players 
  • Penalty clock begins when the penalized player enters the penalty box, and penalized player will serve entire penalty.
  • Unlimited long sticks allowed on the field at any time
  • Unlimited clearing time (no 20 second count)

  Note:  Clarification on game rules must be addressed to the game officials prior to the start of your first game.
